Operator (2015)

Watching 'Operator' in class today, reminds me of the importance one actor and a well-written script can hold over the emotional impact on the audience. The true horror of the film is in its cyclical narrative structure, with the typical focus of the people within the actual action being flipped on its head so that the telephone operator is the highlight, and conversely exploring the psychological impact of the job on the operator (Kate Dickie).
