Filming: Day 2
On the second day, we were filming entirely outside- mainly in a park. We were very lucky, as the park was mainly empty for the bulk of filming. This day went far smoother than day 1, with both myself and Gideon being more used to filming by now.
When it came time to call my friend an Uber Pet so she could bring her dog for the final scene however, the park grew full. Realising that directing a young dog and a child was already stressful enough besides a park full of small children, I decided to reset the final scene nearby, as the park was not essential to the plot. This proved to be the most difficult (and tedious) part of filming, with the dog (expectedly) not quite adhering to my initial plans for the scene. After MANY takes, I at last decided I had enough to be able to splice something together and wrapped filming around 4PM!
Overall, despite the stress, I found filming to be a very exciting and fun experience.
