The Fly (2014)
'The Fly' is a short film, written and directed by Olly Williams. The story is condensed into six minutes, with the narrative arc following the development of a simple situation: a getaway driver waiting outside a bank robbery. This setting is perfect for the short film form as it requires only one seen character, one location, a short amount of time and minimal exposition (opening audio-only with the click of a gun and a shout 'Right boys, 3 Minutes. Now go, go, go!), whilst still providing tension and cause for intrigue. All these factors also allow for a smaller budget.
Like my film, 'The Fly' has only one main character, and had very little dialogue, relying mainly on action and plot. It also takes place in bright daylight.
